Choosing your ideal Low Bed Frame

We here at Get Laid Beds know how hard it can be to pick your ideal bed, especially with the choices available when it comes to handmade beds.  After careful deliberation we have some tips for you to follow, to help guide you through the process.

When choosing your low bed frame firstly look at why you want a low bed?  Is it their fashionable aesthetic or a more practical reason?  The fashion followers out there will love our Low Oriental Bed, with its functional headboard and minimalist designed legs that will not intrude on your bed spreads.  Currently fashion trends are screaming for the clean white lines that we can provide with our Scandinavian Pine bed frames and also the White Wash and Off White Cream stains can really change up your room.  With the White Wash Satin stain really adding some texture to modern bedrooms.  Also if you have a low bed frame in mind, but with a slightly larger ground clearance (or less) we can make this happen through our bespoke alteration service.

If you have more practical reasons for a low bed choice such as a low level window or generally low sloping ceilings then a Low Loft Bed is the perfect solution.  With minimal ground clearance it is a delicately designed simple bed frame that will fit in with most bedroom styles.

Another aspect to look out when choosing a low bed frame for practicality is whether or not to have a headboard?  Is it a necessity or is it for aesthetics?  If you are short on room and you can go without a headboard then a must have choice is the Low Platform Bed.  This offers a low bed style with little ground clearance and does away with the extra space a headboard can take up.  If you cannot go without your headboard but with limited space then you could opt for our Low Oriental Space Saver bed frame.  This would be the perfect compromise for those of you who want a headboard but with the mattress sitting on top of the bed frame and foot board so you have yourself an extra few centimeters spare, which is great for tight spaces and also allows you to have a fuller mattress.

We have many different pine stains but for those looking for a truly luxurious handmade bed then browse our hardwoods that are available. There is a wide choice of hardwood finishes, such as Ash, Tulip, Mahogany, Walnut and more.  Lastly make sure you always measure up your room first as even though we all want as much bed space as possible you do not want anything that over takes the room and leaves little floor space.  In conclusion you have a wide choice to pick your new handmade low bed frame from and we are here to help so do not hesitate to get in touch.
