We often get asked how are our handmade beds transported to you, our customers. The answer to this is that we flat pack all our beds for self-assembly. This helps for ease of delivery from our workshop, all the way to your door, including better protecting your carefully crafted bed.

Why We Flat Pack Our Beds

When you order a Get Laid Bed, it will be carefully produced to your requirements in our Leicester based workshop. After being complete, it will be packed into at least 3 boxes. This process is great for a number of reasons. Firstly it will help protect your bed against damage to ensure the frame arrives in the same high quality state it leaves us in. It also overall makes transportation easier. Once it arrives at your door, it’s easy to carry these boxes up to your new bedroom ready for construction, avoiding the annoying task of weaving a heavy complete bed into the home.

The Construction Process

With these beds being flat packed, you’re probably wondering how easy they are to put together and whether or not you will require an army of tools. You may be surprised to learn you will only require a standard screwdriver. We have aimed to make the construction process as easy as possible and your bed will come will a full set of instructions to follow as well as all the screws you will need to quickly get your bed frame together. Most people will be able to achieve the end product on their own, however, two people can speed up the process.  If you still struggle to build your bed or wish to clarify any of the steps listed in the instructions, our customer service team are on hand to help guide you through the process.

Our Assembly Service

If you’re looking to save yourself the trouble, we have our own assembly service. This includes a 2 person delivery team who will assemble your bed from flatpack, position the mattress where applicable and even remove all the packaging at the end for you.
