Is There Really Such A Thing As Beauty Sleep?

What is Beauty Sleep, and is there really such a thing? Well Beauty Sleep is the amount of sleep needed for a person to look good when they wake up in the morning. It is also seen as sleep necessary for good health and concentration. If you haven’t already noticed, when you skrimp on sleep it really does show on your face, tired skin begins to sag and bags appear under your eyes. Not getting enough sleep can begin to make you more stressed, and everyone can see the tension coming from you which isn’t really a good look.

Why You Need Your Beauty Sleep:

Whilst you sleep, your skin works on renewing itself. New skin cells begin to grow and replace all the older dead cells, also known as “ Repairing, Restoring and Rebalancing”. Beauty Sleep is also a time when all sorts of hormonal and metabolic changes begin to happen in the body, including your skin. If you begin to have a lack of sleep, this could disrupt all of these changes happening within the body.

Researchers have claimed to have found proof that getting that getting that solid 8 hours of sleep a night really does make you appear healthier and more attractive. When strangers were shown photographs of volunteers who had been sleep deprived, they judged them to be a lot less healthy and less attractive than photo’s of them well rested. It is being said that if you want to look healthier and more attractive, ditch the cosmetics and expensive make-up and just grab yourself a bit of beauty sleep.

So the answer to the question is yes, Beauty Sleep is really a thing and is actually a vital part of your sleeping pattern. If you don’t get your Beauty Sleep, that week at work may feel a whole lot worse.
