If you are looking for just a Guest Bed, have a look at our simplistic and solid handmade wooden Guest Bed which can conveniently slide under an existing bed frame that you have or with one of our handmade wooden bed frames. This is very similar in design to our Low Loft Bed which features a low level design perfect for attic rooms. If you are using an existing mattress take into account the depth of your mattress – if you are buying a bed frame and guest bed from us we will do those alterations free of charge to ensure that you know you have a bed frame and guest bed that will perfectly fit in your room. As all of our beds are handmade to order we can offer a bespoke service too should you already have a bed frame that you want the guest bed to be catered for – please let us know the measurements and we can ensure that this is made to your requirements and specifications.
The other point to consider with a guest bed is the mattress that should be used and this should be considered carefully. You should base this on affordability and set yourself a budget, comfort and more importantly the intended use and how often this would be used for. We find that open coil mattresses are very popular for use on guest beds as they are often more affordable than other mattress types but they still retain an excellent level of support for the sleepers body. One of our most popular mattresses for guest bed use has proven to be our Open Coil Mattress which also has a medium feel, making it suitable for most people. A no turn mattress can also be beneficial and a financially viable option if this mattress isn’t to be used as much as it saves you having to remember to turn it but we do recommend occasional rotating to ensure that the generous layers of fillings remain in place.
