Recycling Update: Our Waste Wood Re-Used Custom Graphic

We take pride in helping to save the environment here at Get Laid Beds, and we shown this through our recycling work and the reuse of waste wood. We aim to be as eco-friendly as possible and helping the environment whilst also supporting charities that could benefit from our unwanted stock. This is why all of our waste wood is reused. As we want to show that we care about the environment and want to maintain an environmentally friendly brand image.

As a wooden bed frame company, it is understandable that we get through a lot of wood, therefore we deem it vital that any waste wood is either reused or recycled. The waste wood that goes unused we often distribute to people that own log burning fires and chimineas to help heat their homes throughout the cold winter months.

Sticking with recycling, in our offices we have quite a lot of paper. But we try aim to recycle as much paper as we can, with specific recycling bins, and also reusing any waste paper whether it be as note pads, or putting any unused sheets of paper back into the printer to be used again.

During the production of our handmade wooden bed frames, sawdust tends to be a big issue. Here in our workshop we have bags and bags of sawdust gathered and collected from the floors, we then locate animal charities across the UK and pass on our bags of unwanted sawdust to be re-used in a different environment and help out animals in need.

Overall, we do see ourselves as a charitable business that is highly focused on recycling. This is why we make sure that our waste wood is reused in order to ensure that wastage is minimised. As well as our recycling of sawdust and paper.
