This hardwood option can be typically found within the British Isles and Ireland. I can be found growing in a variety of different condition, though it doesn;t like marshy conditions or very light soil. Up until around the 19th Century, oak was a timber used within the construction of timber frame buildings. Now, it’s widely used in many different furnitures due to the aesthetically appealing nature it provides.
