At Get Laid Beds all of our wooden bed frames are designed and manufactured within our workshop in Leicestershire by experienced bed-makers and each one arrives to your door flat packed. They are all expertly handcrafted and built-to-order, ensuring each bed is made with the customer in mind. Manufacturing our wooden bed frames in this bespoke way enables us to customise each bed and tailor it the customer’s exact requirements. Whether you would like an extra headboard, a lower or higher bed frame, a longer bed frame or any combination of amendments – we can alter the frame to suit your intended purpose and needs all for a small minimal fee.
Once our handmade wooden bed frames are ready for delivery, they are flat packed within the workshop and sent by our courier service on a specific delivery date which is picked at the point of order thanks to our automated delivery calculator. Within the package you will find everything which is required to assemble the bed including a detailed instruction manual, screws and fixings and the bed itself – all is required from you is a standard Philips screwdriver. Our solid wooden bed frames feature mortise and tenon joints which provide an extremely durable base that has been used throughout the years within the industry. The use of these joints also make the bed frame incredibly easy to assemble, even for someone with zero DIY know-how.
The reason we prefer to keep our products flat packed is simple. It ensures the parcel size is kept as minimal as possible, meaning easier transportation and the risk of damage is greatly reduced. The cost of this is also more affordable for our customers – this way we can make sure our high quality handmade beds do not have to come at a hefty price, making them as affordable as possible for you. Also, because we specialise in a lot of low beds we understand that often these are designed to go into attic or loft spaces with minimal room or only a hatch to access this in – our boxes are long and slender ensuring that they can even be manoeuvred up spiral staircases!
We also offer our assembly service where an expert team will build your bed for you. As part of this, we will unpack and inspect your bed frame, assemble from flatpack and removal all packaging for you to save the hassle.
