We are very aware of the deforestation issue our environment is facing, and the current effects this is having on our eco-system. Trees are being chopped down and used at an alarming rate. This is why as a bed manufacturer who uses a lot of timber we like to make an effort to ensure as much of what we use is sourced from both FSC and PEFC approved suppliers. These suppliers work with the FSC to replant trees that are felled for manufacturing, ensuring that as one tree is removed, it is replaced by a new tree which in turn reduces the effects on the environment over future years.
When it comes to the stains used in our coloured finishes, we always aim to use water based stains which are better for the environment. Not only do water-based stains have a lesser effect on the environment, but they also maintain their colour for longer, ensuring the colours lasts for years to come. They also help to protect the timber used, further extending the life of your bed frame. Through the durability of our bed frames, we aim to ensure that less materials need to be used in making a replacement bed in the near future.
