Our Solid Scandinavian Pine Bed Frames – The Staining Options

By Warren 25 November 2013

Solid Scandinavian Pine Staining Options

Get Laid Beds are proud to boast that as standard every single one of their wooden bed frames is handmade to order as standard using sustainable solid Scandinavian pine. This ensures that you, as a customer, receive a strong, robust and sturdy bed frame. Get Laid Beds also offer the luxury of an upgraded natural hardwood option should you wish to sway towards solid oak, mahogany or other hardwood options that we have available. We are proud to say that we use water based stains to help increase our eco-friendly approach to the environment.

The solid Scandinavian pine is available to be stained in a wide variety of different colours to ensure that there is always an option for your bedroom décor. Read below for more information on each of our staining options.

Honey Satin

Our honey satin stain is one of our most popular colour bed frame finishes. This is due to this particular colour being the closest stain to a ‘natural’ looking wood without being too light. This stain especially stands out on traditional beds such as our London Bed and the Traditional Country Bed.

Coffee Bean

Our coffee bean satin stain is another popular choice amongst our customers, due to its similarity to a mahogany bed frame. The coffee bean is hand stained by our team of expert UK craftsmen in the heart of England and gives the final frame a complete and natural look. This elegant stain looks outstanding on our Chelsea Bed through the use of its raised unique headboard. If you are looking for a low bed frame to come with this finish, you may be interested in our Low Modern Attic Bed.

Red Forest

The red forest satin stain is one of the staff favourites here at Get Laid Beds due to the combined look of a brown mixed with a glossy red to make this a truly attractive stain to choose. This stain would look excellent on our Kings Bed or even our Low Platform Bed (No Headboard) to ensure that your bed is a stylish focal point within your bedroom.

Cinnamon

The cinnamon satin stain is similar to our honey stain, keeping the more natural finish of the wood itself. This wooden finish is much darker than our honey, with a slight hint of orange/brown running through the stain. This would be an ideal option for one of our Platform Bed frames.

Natural

The natural satin stain is great for those wanting to enhance their pine finish with a sheen of a light clear stain. This option is especially beneficial for those who prefer the lighter appearance of wood, with a similar appearance to the beech hardwood. This would prove useful for bedrooms in which space is minimal, making this finish an excellent choice for our Low Oriental Bed (Space Saver) or Platform Bed (Space Saver).

Black

The black satin stain helps to create a feature point for your bedroom when used on our handmade wooden bed frames. The finish ensures a high statement when you walk into the room and we find that our Cambridge Bed looks particularly great in our black due to the small detailing on the bed frame.

Grey Wash

The grey wash is an excellent choice for those who prefer the ‘wash’ effect of the hand staining process. The grey wash ensures that you can see plenty of the grain through the stain to give you a chic look which proves ideal for loft rooms and master bedrooms alike. We think our Low Loft Bed (Space Saver) would be a great choice for the grey wash stain.

White

Our white satin stain is a solid white which doesn’t allow the grain of the wood to show through. This would prove an ideal choice for rooms where you want the bed to be the focal point within the bedroom. Our Four Poster Bed – Summer is an excellent choice to have in the white satin stain as it helps to maximise the airy feel in your bedroom regardless of size.

Vintage White

The vintage white satin stain provides a solid colour and adds more of an ivory and cream tone to your bed which can prove an excellent choice in many different room settings. The vintage white satin looks particularly outstanding as a finish on one of our Four Poster Bed frames.

Untreated

The untreated option provides you with the natural pine product. This ensures that should you wish to paint the bed yourself with a colour that you already had in mind, this is an option that you can choose.

With all these solid Scandinavian pine stain options to choose from you can be assured that there will always be an option that is most suitable for you, your bedroom and your bed frame.
