As a handmade wooden bed company, it’s an obvious fact that we use a lot of timber when making our beds. We have a wide variety of 9 different types of wood that we commonly use, including solid Scandinavian pine and 8 luxurious solid hardwoods. The solid hardwoods that we offer include; oak, ash, cherry, maple, beech, tulip, walnut and mahogany.

As well as our fabulous range of hardwoods, we also have a number of different solid solid Scandinavian pine finishes. Choices of finishes we offer include; sandy, chocolate, rose red, tanned, clear, wooden black beds, wooden grey beds and wooden white beds

While we do offer such a wide range of different options for you to customise your handmade wooden bed with, we’re very aware of the worrying issue of large-scale deforestation across the world. For example, the size of the Amazon rainforest in South America has suffered dearly from excessive deforestation over the course of the last 50 years, and the pace is not decreasing at any rapid rate. As a business, we don’t agree with aggressive deforestation and we make a conscious effort to ensure as much of our timber as possible is sourced sustainably from both FSC and PEFC approved forests. Checkout our black Friday beds to findout how we are turning black Friday green.

It’s important to us that we take care of that which provides for us: the environment. We believe strongly in reducing our carbon footprint and sourcing our timber responsibly so as to minimise the impact we have. It’s imperative we look after the world we live in on any scale possible – even if it’s just one person or company recycling, with enough people and enough companies, it can make a big difference.
