Water based stains offer an environmentally friendly option as opposed to other types of stain and we at Get Laid Beds are glad to announce that all our stains that we now use are water based stains.
A wood stain is a type of paint that allows the pigment of the topcoat to soak properly into the crevices and pores of the bed frame. There are several advantages to using water based stains and one of our favourites is that they can offer a better range and intensity of colours that other based stains can’t compare to – this is why we pride ourselves on our unique and attractive stains. Water based stains also help to maintain the quality of colour much longer to ensure a long lasting and vibrant bed frame.
Water based stains also allow air to move in and out of the paint – this ensures that the paint doesn’t trap water and cause rotting or decay in the wood itself which therefore helps us in being able to offer our impressive eleven year guarantee on every single one of our wooden bed frames. Another benefit to water based stains is that they are not nearly as flammable as oil-based stains and therefore this is far less hazardous for use within a home or the hotel industry. Water based stains are also superior over oil-based stains as they do not emit an odour as potent as oil-based stains which therefore makes the experience better for not only experienced carpenters but also for you at home when you unwrap your product.
