A pocket sprung mattress, as the name suggests, is made up of springs inside. These are each individually cased separate fabric pockets. This helps to hold them at the correct tension, and allows them to move independently. Each individual pocket sprung mattress will contain a different spring count, and in theory, the more springs, the higher the comfort level.
