An example of such a benefit from not having to use cheaper, lighter timber means that the wooden bases of our handmade beds feature wider flat slats which have been tested and proven to be far more durable than sprung slats. Through our expertise in bed manufacturers, the width and material of the slats we use is much wider and stronger that various competitors. Through testing our products we have shown that are method of manufacturing is far more durable up to a King Size Bed. Any bed sizes larger than that – from Super King size upwards we add a central rail which adds support and stops any possibility of the slats bowing and these have gone through numerous stress tests including the entire Get Laid Bed’s staff standing on the bed frame.
Because of this flat slat base type and not using thinner sprung slats we are able to use more durable, thicker slats. These slats along with our Mortise and Tenon joints ensure your handmade bed is of the highest quality which is why we offer an 11 year guarantee on all of our wooden beds – higher than most of our competitors.
As all our beds are handmade to order, for a small additional fee we offer a full customisation and bespoke service to tailor make your bed for your own individual needs.
