Not quite. While a super caesar bed is often referred to informally as a UK alaskan king, it is not the exact same size or shape as a standard US alaskan king. US Alaskan kings are 274 x 274cm, meaning they are 8cm narrower than a super caesar bed but 48cm longer.
Both beds are both 7.5ft (or 226cm) long but the super caesar is wider. A standard caesar bed is 8ft x 7.5ft (251cm x 226cm), with a super caesar bed standing at 9ft x 7.5ft (282 x 226cm).
Due to the extreme width (282cm) and heavy timber construction of a frame this size, gas-strut lift mechanisms cannot safely support the combined weight of the frame and a super caesar mattress over time. To ensure structural integrity, smooth operation, and long-term safety, we keep our super caesar range to non-lifting standard and platform frame styles.
If you require underbed storage at a grand scale, we recommend one of our beds with drawers or standard height frame paired with underbed storage boxes.
