The iconic Chelsea headboard meets the practical luxury of full Ottoman storage. The substantial wraparound hardwood base gives the bed a beautifully finished presence while lifting to reveal generous space for bedding, blankets and everything else you would rather keep out of sight. By keeping storage within the bed itself, the Chelsea Ottoman helps reduce visual clutter and gives the natural beauty of your chosen hardwood more room to sit within the space.
Shaped by subtly tapered posts, the gently curved headboard delivers a clean, dynamic silhouette that doubles as a comfortable, inviting backrest in bed. Part of our Heritage Collection, the Chelsea Ottoman is handcrafted to order from 100% solid hardwood. It unites classic design and practical storage with substantial proportions, bringing effortless functionality to a bed built to last generations.

Personalise your bed design
We offer 4 distinct leg styles for most beds (depending on the design these may not always be an option). Changing the leg style uniquely transforms the appearance and is your personal choice with no change in structural integrity. The curved option is a popular option to help avoid bumping toes, which is especially helpful in smaller bedroom spaces.
What makes our beds so unique ?
Twice as thick & wide as the average bed slat with each and every slat being individually screwed in position for extra durability.
Our beds on average can withstand 474 kg or 75 stones in weight. That's equivalent to 5 adults at a time.
A premium product can be affordable if you buy direct from the manufacturer. Without the middlemen, there's extra savings.
A carpentry technique that has been around from as early as 2500BC. A proven method of strength and durability.
Buy once and be reassured your bed will stand the test of time. We spend about 1/3 of our lives in bed, so it must be built to last.

These beds are only made from solid hardwood as we believe they make the best furniture, with designs that showcase its natural grain.

Room of Choice Delivery: we’ll deliver your bed to the room you choose, ready for you to assemble using our clear, easy-to-follow instructions
Standard Delivery: delivered to your front door for self-assembly
Every bed is available and specifically made to order. Rather than pulling mass-produced frames off a shelf, our skilled joiners handcraft your bed frame from 100% solid wood once your order is placed. Because we work with natural timber, the unique organic grain ensures no two pieces are ever identical. If you need your bed sooner, our express delivery options can have your custom frame built and delivered in as little as 72 hours.
It’s very simple and easier than most other flat pack furniture. The strong yet simple design aided by clear instructions will help you have the bed assembled in little time. An electric screwdriver will also help speed things up. You can choose our “White Glove” delivery service if you prefer to have our team assemble it for you.
Our stains and seals are all water based, these all come with a rating of nil to low toxicity to plant life and fish.
Absolutely. Every bed frame is built using sustainably harvested solid wood from certified managed forests. Beyond crafting long-lasting furniture, our workshop uses electricity from 100% renewable sources certified by REGO and verified by the independent Carbon Trust. We’ ve planted over 118,000 trees in partnership with the International Tree Foundation (ITF).
Solid wood is inherently one of the most sustainable choices for your bedroom. Unlike metal frames that demand energy-intensive processing, or upholstered designs relying on water-heavy textiles, natural timber requires minimal manufacturing impact.
Your new bed deserves the perfect mattress. Add one of our handcrafted mattresses to your order for complete comfort, fast delivery and exceptional quality. Browse our mattress range now and get ready for your best sleep yet.

Very comfortable bed so far ( we’ve only had it for a week) . I was really impressed by the customer service, both when seeking advice about the purchase and for help about the delivery. The delivery was also very straightforward and efficient.
