• Can I use any mattress with a platform bed?

Yes. Our platform beds are built to standard UK dimensions, so any standard mattress will fit. It’s worth checking the height and condition of the current mattress though. A mattress that is too tall can look out of place on a low bed base, while a sagging mattress won't provide the support needed. Replacing both at the same time ensures the height and comfort are exactly right for the new space.

• How does the mattress stay in place without a frame lip?

The mattress stays perfectly secure through a combination of its own weight and the natural friction against the solid timber slats. This flush-fit design is intentional; it keeps the mattress stable and centred while removing the bulky edges that usually get in the way in smaller rooms.

• Can I add a headboard to a platform frame?
